Rahabs Care and Education (RACE) is a non – political and non-profit making Organization, involved in Rehabilitation, Healthcare and education for Rescued minors / Abused and under privileged children of CSW’s from theRed Light district of Mumbai , also, run away girls who could be potential future prostitutes, also those who are economically and socially handicapped, without educational opportunities, social security and living in potential danger and an undisciplined life.
Race was registered and established in 2001 in Mumbai, Maharashtra under the Societies registration act and also under the relevant Income tax laws govenering charitable Orgs.
Race works in the confines of the red light district of Kamatipura and Falkland areas seeking out minors trafficked and trapped in prostitution, helping csw’s come terms with reality and to make a decision to get their girl children out of that area and into Race to change their destiny.
Mumbai is a mega city where some people pursue their dreams, some people make it big whereas some people make others dreams go wary and make life miserable for others. One such category is of the minor children who get trafficked from villages and different States and even get waylaid in the city and end up as sex workers, beggars, drug peddlers or just petty criminals. A drive to any part of the city is resplendent with such children in Mumbai.
