Most women & children are victims lured and then sold into the sex industry, they become outcasts, and have nowhere or no one to turn to. They are victims of pleasure and greed and yet they are also they are the objects of society’s condemnation. This rejection causes them to harden their hearts to society and become more vulnerable to get hurt, on the surface they may not show it but deep down there is immense pain because they are human and have feelings. They have been dubbed as a Social Issue and are treated as the scum of society. Though they live withen the hub of society they are still outcasts. As social issues they are debated, publicized and then forgotten; as outcasts, they have been brutally condemned. While society patronizes and condemns these women, in turns and debates reach a feverish pitch; they will continue to be out on the streets. Waiting for society’s unconditional acceptance. But till then they will, they will be victims. Victims in need of freedom!!!
No one becomes a prostitute by choice, the life they live is worse than the most cursed person on earth. Heavy under the intonation of Drugs / alcohol they are forced to take anything between10 to 26 customers a night, each one destroying and tearing them apart, without any feelings, day after day, week after week, month after month and year after year, the cycle goes on and on. There is never a day that is different, even during her menstrual period the show goes on. These women, women did I say? They are but small girls, ages from 10 to 14/15 yrs. Abused to such an extent that their spirit is broken, there is nothing else left for them, they are brain washed to believe there is nothing else for them in life, and that the brothel keeper and the pimps are their only friends and protectors, whom they cling to for dear life.
It took us endless hours, running into the night along the years, to bring only one message to them that “WE CARE” and are concerned about them and the future of their children.
